Neuma holds the things you would otherwise lose: the note you typed on a train, the photograph of a whiteboard, the voice memo you recorded walking, the link somebody sent you. It keeps them in one vault on your device, notices how they connect, and gives them back to you in your own words.
There is no account and there is no Neuma server. You do not sign in, because there is nothing to sign in to. Search runs on the device. Nothing is uploaded anywhere unless you turn on iCloud sync, and then it goes to your iCloud private database, which I cannot read.
The first thing in your vault is something you put there. Neuma ships with no sample notes and no demo content — an app that opens full of someone else's writing is not a second mind, it is a brochure.
Capture — text, photos, voice memos, and anything shared to Neuma from another app.
Recall — ask in your own words. The index is local, so the question never becomes a search query on somebody's server.
The weave — a graph drawn from your own notes, not from a sample set. Clusters, links, and the notes that keep pulling others toward them.
Synthesis — one woven page that shows the thread running through what you have been reading and writing lately.
Neuma is free, and the free tier already mirrors your 250 most recent items between your Apple devices. Plus lifts that cap so the whole vault travels, and adds the quiet context agent and signed exports. Nothing beyond the cap is ever deleted — it stays on the device that holds it.
Neuma has no AI of its own and does not resell anyone else's. If you want a model in the loop, you paste your own provider key; it is stored in the iOS Keychain, and a per-cluster, per-tag consent matrix decides what may ever be sent. A single switch turns the whole bridge off.
