On-device readings

Skry 1.5 analyses photos and writes readings on your iPhone. We do not receive your photos, personal notes, chosen focus or optional zodiac sign. There are no accounts, advertising SDKs or third-party analytics SDKs in the app.

Your journal and preferences

The app stores your sky photos, original reading text, cloud observations and any notes you write in its local storage. Your optional zodiac sign and focus are stored in preferences. A saved reading preserves the inputs and text used at the time; changing your preferences does not rewrite your old entries.

You can edit or clear a note, change an observation, remove an optional zodiac sign, or delete journal entries in the app. Deleting the app removes its local data. Depending on your Apple device backup settings, app data may be included in backups managed by Apple; Skry does not operate a separate journal backup service.

When you choose to share

The share preview shows the card that will be sent. It contains your sky photo, selected reading text, date and optional Skry signature. Private journal notes and zodiac preferences are not part of the share payload. Skry renders a new image, rather than sharing your original photo file and its metadata.

The system share sheet receives the card and an App Store link. The destination you choose may store or process that content under its own policy. Skry does not post automatically, access your contacts or connect to a social account.

Permissions

The camera is used only to take a sky photo. The system photo picker gives Skry access to the photo you select. Saving a share card can ask permission to add an image to your library. Reminder notifications are optional. Birth date, birth time and location are not requested.

Purchases and diagnostics

Apple handles payments. Skry verifies purchase status with StoreKit and keeps a local credit balance and transaction identifiers to avoid duplicate credit delivery. We do not receive your payment card details. Apple may provide aggregated App Store analytics or diagnostics according to your Apple sharing settings; the app does not add a separate tracking SDK.

Older versions with online configuration

Before 1.5, a configured optional online reading service could send cloud measurements, a small silhouette, time-of-day information and a persistent random installation identifier to a Cloudflare relay and Google's Gemini service. A persistent identifier can link requests. The original photo was not sent. This route is disabled in 1.5, including when an older online preference is still saved.
