When Vird becomes available

  1. Start small. On the New tab, paste a short note to generate suggestions, or use CSV import to choose the starter file.
  2. Check before saving. Keep cards with a clear question and a useful answer. Local extraction skips text that does not fit its rules; you can write cards manually.
  3. Review what is due. Try to recall the answer before revealing it, then rate your recall. The schedule uses that rating to plan the next review.

Free Up to 250 cards, review scheduling, CSV import, JSON export and local folder mirroring. The free plan does not expire.
Plus Removes the 250-card limit and enables optional AI suggestions. AI requires your own provider key; any provider charges are separate.

Monthly and annual auto-renewing subscriptions show the local price before purchase. Local card extraction does not require Plus or an external AI provider.

Can I import an Anki deck?

Vird accepts supported CSV or tab-separated text with front and back columns. It does not import Anki .apkg packages. Native export is JSON, not an Anki package. Check imported cards before using them.

Where do the cards live?

Your library is stored on the device. On iOS, optional local mirroring writes Markdown and JSONL to the app's Documents/vird folder, visible in Files. This is separate from cloud sync; this page does not promise automatic iCloud synchronization.

Does optional AI upload my whole note?

Local extraction uses no remote model. If you configure and enable the optional external AI feature, the selected note's title and a short excerpt are sent to that provider. Review the provider's privacy and pricing terms first.
