Ostinato privacy

Your planning data is stored in the app on your devices. Ostinato does not require an account or run a planning server.

Local data

The app stores settings, planning windows, outcome titles, time estimates, priorities, deadlines, busy intervals, completion history and daily replan counts. This supports reopening a plan and keeping completed work when you replan.

The app does not add advertising identifiers, third-party analytics or a developer-operated crash-reporting service. Apple may process platform diagnostics or store reports under your Apple settings.

Optional calendar access

With your permission, the app reads only event start and end times to find busy intervals. It does not read event titles, participants, notes, locations or URLs. You can add busy times manually without calendar permission.

Paired Apple Watch

Plan details, including outcome titles and scheduled blocks, can be shared with the paired Watch. Completion actions and delivery state pass between the companion apps. A local cached plan may be stored on the Watch. Delivery depends on the device connection.

Purchases

Apple handles the optional one-time purchase through StoreKit. The app verifies the purchase entitlement on the device. Ostinato does not operate a purchase-verification server. Purchase records held by Apple are separate from local planning files.

Removing local data

Remove the Ostinato app from your iPhone or iPad to remove that installation’s local app data. Remove the companion app from your Watch to remove its cached copy. Device backups are managed separately through Apple’s settings.

Support

If you email support, your email app sends the message and any attachments you choose to include. This is separate from the app’s local planning data.
