Koine makes no app network requests. It does not send your answers or reading progress to us, analytics providers or AI services.
We do not receive data from the app. Koine has no account, sign-in, analytics, advertising identifier or AI grading service. Your English word answers are checked by you, not sent elsewhere for grading.
Koine stores the following in its local app storage:
These records let the app resume a reading and choose words for later review. Koine does not operate a server sync service or transmit these records through its own network requests.
iOS may include local app data in system backups, depending on your Apple and device backup settings. Those system backups are separate from Koine and are managed by Apple and the operating system.
Deleting the app through iOS removes its local app data. Existing system backups are managed separately through your Apple and device settings. Do not delete the app as a way to retry a save or load error; see the support guide first.
Koine does not request camera, microphone, photo-library or location access. Its reading library is included in the app and is available offline.
The starter library includes 6 Spanish readings, 24 words in context and 12 comprehension questions, with English explanations. The separate coverage view uses a frequency list derived from Tatoeba sentence exports, with source and licence attribution displayed in the app. Neither is fetched at runtime.
