Nestria collects no data.
There is no account, no password, no analytics, no advertising and no server of
our own. Nothing about you is ever sent to us, because there is nowhere for it
to be sent.
What is stored, and where
A daily check-in is a date, a timestamp, how it was sent (tap
or watch) and a random device identifier. That's all. It is written to a shared
area of your own iCloud account using Apple's own sharing, and it is
readable only by the people you invited.
The random identifier is not a person: it carries no name, no email and no
account information. It exists so that two phones in the same household can
agree on which record came first.
What is never collected
No location. No microphone. No health or fitness data. No
contacts. No advertising identifier. No usage analytics of any kind.
Notifications
Notification permission is used for exactly one thing: to tell
the family member when a day has passed without word. The notification is
scheduled locally on their device in advance and cancelled when word arrives.
No push messages are ever sent from a server, because there is no server.
Children
Nestria is not directed at children and collects no data from
anyone.
